What buyers control
Application requirements, optional USD budget, supplier preference (premium, mid-range, economy or undecided), quantity by mounting position and final acceptance. Preference describes cost, finish and documentation appetite; it is not a rating we have audited.
What the service coordinates
Clarifying working medium, length, fittings, requested reports, asking factories for comparable scope and lining up sample versus lot language. We do not substitute a connector pin count checklist meant for sensors onto a hose RFQ.
What suppliers confirm
Fitment references, production scope, supplier declaration, warranty scope, packing unit, gross package weight and shipment commitments. Drawings and test files must name the quoted assembly, not a family brochure.
What remains open
No own-factory identity, authorization, customer count or savings claim is implied. New versus remanufactured status, kit BOM versus a single hose and batch traceability after sample approval stay unresolved until written answers arrive.
When a quote is silent on new versus remanufactured parts, we ask for the supply condition and any core charge. When a line says “kit” we request the BOM so clips and washers are not assumed. When a sample is accepted we still ask how later lots will be sampled. Those are procurement checks, not marketing awards.
